About Our Founder and Lead Educator
Hello! I'm Candice Hilton, a super passionate educator and the founder of Hilton Horizons Academy. I bring extensive experience in education and child development, spanning over a decade. Since 2017, I've been a certified classroom teacher, equipped with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies: Elementary K-6 with a 4-8 endorsement. I have also completed the Eastman Scholar MathElites program at East Tennessee State University and was published in the Upper East Tennessee Council of Teachers of Mathematics newsletter. I’m thrilled to share that I recently became a member of three groups: the Hybrid Schools Society, the National Microschooling Center, and a VELA Founder.
My teaching style? It's all about getting hands on and keeping things interactive. I love nurturing my students’ minds, hearts and social skills through creative holistic teaching methods.
